Benefits of PM Scholarship 2024-25

The Prime Minister’s Scholarship is awarded to 5500 wards or widows of veterans each year.
Each selected boy and girl receives an equal number of scholarships.
Students can receive scholarships under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme for a period of one to five years, contingent upon the length of their courses.
A scholarship worth Rs. 2500 per month (formerly Rs. 2000) would be awarded to all the lads who were chosen.
Plus, all the chosen ladies would receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 3000 (formerly Rs 2250).
In addition, state police children who were previously ineligible for the initiative would now receive a monthly stipend of Rs 500.

Eligibility Criteria for PM Scholarship 2024-25

You need to have at least 60% in your 10+2 results if you’re applying to undergraduate programs, and 60% in your postgraduate courses if you’re applying to postgraduate programs. Level of graduation.

A minimum of 60% is required. Applicants for the PM Scholarship 2024–2025 may fall into the following categories.

Incentives Under the PM Scholarship

The recipients of this PM Scholarship will get the following incentives:

5500 eligible applicants will receive incentives from this initiative each year.
Each gender has 2750 scholarships available, with boys and girls receiving an equal number of them.
For girls, the scholarship payment is Rs. 3000 per month.
A scholarship worth Rs. 2,500 per month for a year is available to boys.

Selection Criteria: PM Scholarship 2024-25

To be eligible for this PM Scholarship, the applicant must adhere to the following selection criteria:

Category A: The wards and widows of CAPFs and AR troops who were killed in action are granted priority.
Category B: Veterans of the Armed Forces and armed civilian employees who were disabled in action receive second priority.
Category C: The widows and wards of deceased CAPFs and AR personnel who passed away while serving for reasons related to government service receive the third preference.
Category D: The wards of former members of the CAPF and AR who became disabled while serving and whose impairment was related to their time spent in government service are given priority.
Category E: In addition, preference is granted to the wards of former members of the CAPF and AR soldiers who have been recognized for valour.
Category F: The wards of Ex-CAPFs and AR troops (PBOR only) receive the next preference.
Category G: In the final category, if scholarships are available, priority will be given to the wards of active-duty CAPFs and AR personnel (PBOR).
